A TENSION/COACHWHIPS - Split 7" (kimosciotic)
BEST FWENDS - Second Seven Inch 7" (moshi moshi) - green
BRIMSTONE HOWL - M-60 7" (boom chick)
BURNING BRIDES - Anhedonia (self) If you have caught this indie power rock trio from Philly/Los Angeles on one of their many tours in the past 9 years, then you will know what to expect out of this release. Last of the 'million dollar' bands signed to V2, Burning Brides have self-produced and released their material since V2 folded a few years back. Granted there is not any screaming like on the first two albums, but Anhedonia is a solid continuation of Hang Love. Still unsatisfied with life and exploiting the dark side, the band leans towards stoner rock (in a good way) on this release. As been said by many bands, "Burning Brides are a band's band", touring with Icarus Line, Cave-In, Division of Laura Lee, ...Trail of Dead, Queens of the Stone Age, Audioslave, A Perfect Circle and recently with Fu Manchu. Envision a lot of heads bobbing when they play at Club Dada on July 9th with Middle Class Rut (sacramento) and True Widow (ex-slowride).
CARBONAS - Lost Cause/Nineteen 7" (robshouse)
CRYPTACIZE/WHY? - Unusual Animals Vol. 4 7" (asthmatic kitty)
DAUGHTERS - Live at CBGB (city of hell) - ltd to 1000
DAUGHTERS - first 7" (city of hell) - 4th and final pressing
FLOOR - Dove (no idea)

Two VERY different shows (June 20th-21st)
This FRIDAY, June 20th at KETTLE ART in Deep Ellum
11PM - Callupsie – Indie rock band from Tulsa, who were recently profiled in the April issue of SPIN magazine. Their S/T album (little mafia) was recorded by Stephen Egerton of the Descendents and mastered by Bill Stevenson of Black Flag.
10PM – CRYPTACIZE – Dreamy experimental trio from San Francisco, features ex guitarist of Deerhoof (killrockstars). They are actually the headliner, but wanted to play 2nd since Callupsie is slightly louder. They are out supporting their most recent release Dig that Treasure (asthmatic kitty).
9PM - Florene – experimental electronic act from Dentron which I’ve yet to see live, but I listened to their myspace and it will segue into Cryptacize's set fairly well.
$8, All Ages. BYOB for 21+ Note: very small room, so arrive prompt to ensure satisfaction. Also show respect to Kettle when you arrive. It’s an art gallery, so treat it accordingly and I am thankful to them for letting me host this show there.
This Saturday, June 21st at Lola’s in Fort Worth
Best overall lineup in a while:
SPUNE & PARADE OF FLESH present an EARLY ALL AGES SHOW with:
RUSSIAN CIRCLES – An instrumental metal trio from Chicago that is completely epic live. They have opened for Tool, Pelican and ISIS. They are suppose to a have a new album out on Suicide Squeeze, but I haven’t seen it yet.
DAUGHTERS – (hydra head/robotic empire) Brutal mathcore punk band from Providence, RI. The lead singer tends to disrobe for shows and/or interact with the audience. Be warned they are explosive.
YOUNG WIDOWS – EX-Breather resist!! hardcore metal trio from Louisville, KY They don’t tour that much so you def want to catch them live.
7:30PM SHARP!! $12, All Ages at Lola's Saloon in Fort Worth.

Recently Acquired
In the past two weeks or coming soon; a lot of T's, but unfortunately no A's.
Also, I finally setup my turntable(s) for the first time in months and I forgot how much better vinyl sounds. Granted you get spoiled with never having to flip a record by using itunes, but it sounds like shit compared to vinyl.
The COOL KIDS - The Bake Sale (chocolate ind) - Good to play this summer at your pool party or for cruising around in your Honda or Acura. (mind you I dig hondas & acuras) Clever album with no longevity.
DOES IT OFFEND YOU, YEAH? - You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into (almost gold) - This is a decent debut, despite the horrible band name and ridiculously long album title. The sound is trendy and manufactured catering to fans of Klaxons, Ghostland Observatory, the Horrors and even Justice. The direction of this release loses focus with the intro mimicking Justice, but then half-way through the album, "Attack of the 60FT Lesbian Octopus" sounds like an amped-up Cramps track sans vocals. Also features Sebastian Grainger (ex-DFA 1979/Femme Fatale) on vocals for "Let's Make Out".
FUCKED UP - Dangerous Fumes/Fixed Race 7" (hate)- german edition
FUCKED UP - Mix tape volume II cassette (self)
FUCKED UP - Police 7" (deranged) - repress
FUCKED UP - Triumph of Life mini cd - (vice) - features Year of the Pig & Neat Parts
FUCKED UP - Year of the Dog/Last Man Standing 12" (blocks recording club) - insert with lyrics, hand stamped label
iKILLCars - at ease with your haste CD + 12" test (what?)
iKILLCars - Becky EP (self)
JESU - Conquerer (hydrahead)
NO AGE - Nouns 12" + mp3 d/l (subpop) - white vinyl - Public Enemy said "Don't believe the hype", so make your decision yourself on this one. I loved getting all their 12"s and 7"s two years ago, but I still don't understand the hype behind them. (or maybe hype-machine). At times Nouns sounds like everything else 'hot' right now, but then it surprises you on some tracks that it's still just the two dudes from Wives.
TARANTULA - Atlantic (kemado) - WARNING!!!!: very f'in boring. i should have said it was scratched and returned it. I have it on a random playlist of new stuff i have, and every time one of their tracks comes on, I say "what is this garbage" and immediately change it.
TIDES/GIANT - Split LP (level plane) gatefold red & black streaked vinyl - Don't sleep on this release. I am sure Giant has wet dreams involving ISIS.
The TING TINGS -We Started Nothing
TITUS ANDRONICUS - 7" (troublemanunlimited) - fully silkscreened sleeve and hand numbered out of 500 - touring in august
TOMBS - S/T LP (level plane)
TRANSISTOR TRANSISTOR - Young Vampires of New Hampshire 7" (level plane) red vinyl
VALIENT THORR - Immortalizer (volcom) - playing Club Dada on 8/8/8 w. Early Man, Skeleton Witch and Golden Axe
V/A - BIPPP - French Synth Wave 1979 - 85 (everloving)
WIRES ON FIRE - S/T (buddyhead)
WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM - Two Hunters (southern lord)
EDIT: forgot to list a few items

SHOW Cancelled and Moved
Due to the meter box and copper theft this morning at Pastime Tavern, the venue has no power or A/C, so i had to cancel the show in the best interest of the bands and I didn't want to hang around a bunch of sweaty people in the dark anyway. I know some people are into that sort of scene, but not me.
Anyway, Death is Not a Joyride and Tiger Moth will reschedule, as will iKILLCars.
BUT!! iKILLCars will be playing at Doublewide at 10:30PM sharp and hopefully a house party or something after.
thanks
UPDATE: iKillCars showed up late to Dwide, so they weren't able to play, but they did manage to find a house party and played on the rooftop deck at 1AM. A lot of fun.
