Two VERY different shows (June 20th-21st)

This FRIDAY, June 20th at KETTLE ART in Deep Ellum
11PM - Callupsie – Indie rock band from Tulsa, who were recently profiled in the April issue of SPIN magazine. Their S/T album (little mafia) was recorded by Stephen Egerton of the Descendents and mastered by Bill Stevenson of Black Flag.
10PM – CRYPTACIZE – Dreamy experimental trio from San Francisco, features ex guitarist of Deerhoof (killrockstars). They are actually the headliner, but wanted to play 2nd since Callupsie is slightly louder. They are out supporting their most recent release Dig that Treasure (asthmatic kitty).
9PM - Florene – experimental electronic act from Dentron which I’ve yet to see live, but I listened to their myspace and it will segue into Cryptacize's set fairly well.
$8, All Ages. BYOB for 21+ Note: very small room, so arrive prompt to ensure satisfaction. Also show respect to Kettle when you arrive. It’s an art gallery, so treat it accordingly and I am thankful to them for letting me host this show there.

This Saturday, June 21st at Lola’s in Fort Worth
Best overall lineup in a while:
SPUNE & PARADE OF FLESH present an EARLY ALL AGES SHOW with:
RUSSIAN CIRCLES – An instrumental metal trio from Chicago that is completely epic live. They have opened for Tool, Pelican and ISIS. They are suppose to a have a new album out on Suicide Squeeze, but I haven’t seen it yet.
DAUGHTERS – (hydra head/robotic empire) Brutal mathcore punk band from Providence, RI. The lead singer tends to disrobe for shows and/or interact with the audience. Be warned they are explosive.
YOUNG WIDOWS – EX-Breather resist!! hardcore metal trio from Louisville, KY They don’t tour that much so you def want to catch them live.

7:30PM SHARP!! $12, All Ages at Lola's Saloon in Fort Worth.
